A reception for this rare exhibit of paintings from the Army Art Collection is followed by a lecture “Painting the Frontlines” by Charles Grow, Deputy Director, National Museum of the Marine Corps. As a former combat artist, U.S. Marine, and curator, Grow discusses the world of journalism and combat painting during the 1940s and today, offering a unique perspective on the practice, significance, and legacy of Tom Lea.
